Robert Farrell Long, born on October 26, 1947, died at his home in Columbia on May 7, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Margaret Yancey of Columbia, TN, and father: Robert Brannon Long of Spring City, TN. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Donna Walker Long; Daughter: Kendra (Shawn) McGuire Elkins of Columbia, TN; grandchildren: Tyler Elkins of New Port Richey, FL and Torrie Elkins of Columbia, TN; brother: Jerry (Delaine) Long of Spring City, TN.
He was a 1966 graduate of Columbia Central High School, and graduated from Austin Peay State University, in 1971. He served in the Tennessee National Guard from 1971-1977. Farrell retired in 2003 after 30 years employment with Tennessee Farmers Mutual Insurance Co. Claims Department.
No services will be held as per Farrell's wishes.
