Stanley E. Kelley

Stanley E. Kelley, age 83, a resident of Columbia, passed away at his residence October 18, 2019, after a long illness. He was a member of South Point Church of Christ.

Stanley was born May 28, 1936 to William Stanley Kelley and Beatrice Grimes Boshers in Maury County. His work as a drywall contractor had taken him and his family from Tennessee to Louisiana, Mississippi, Ohio and West Virginia. He had served his country in the National Guard and the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Carroll Kelley, to whom he was married for over 61 years; three children, Donna Wisener, Bart (Julie) Kelley and Lisa (Phillip) Evers; grandchildren, Adam Lea, Kelley (Hakim) Lea, Kadi Evers, Karah Kelley, Collin Evers, Cameron Kelley, Lacy Kelley, along with honorary grandchildren, Ida Lea, Alex Kelley, Miles Nix, Hope Massey; a special granddog, Winston; his brothers, Eddie (Shirley) Kelley, James (Barbara ) Kelley, Larry Kelley, Joe Kelley and Greg Kelley; a special niece and nephew Tommy and Linda Dunn, a special sister-in-law Faye Blocker, and his mother, Beatrice Grimes Boshers. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Roy Kelley, Harold “Buddy” Kelley, Bebe Prince, Wade Kelley and Evelyn Kelley.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Columbia Academy or Palestine cemetery Fund at Regions Bank.

The family will visit with friends on Monday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 P.M. at the Palestine Cemetery in Lewis County.

Pallbearers will be Billy Carroll, Jr., Ricky Dunn, Collin Evers, Hakim Baykara, Phillip Evers, “Lil” Rick Dunn, Jim Gavigan and Ryan Kelley. Honorary pallbearers will include Kaye Burns, special friends Bill Watts, Robert Mooningham, Tony Wren, Tom Gordon, Rick and Wendy Brodeur.

Special thanks to Dr. Gibran Naddy and his staff, Dr. Jameson, Dr. Joe Fite, “Stanley’s girls” at the Infusion Center, Miranda, Janet, Jessica, Leigh Ann, Vicky, Bridget, who were part of our family for 3 ½ years.
