Thomas Tarkington, age 88, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Brookdale in Columbia, Tennessee.
Thomas was born in Hickman County, Tennessee on November 12, 1933, to the Late Jim Tarkington and Bessie Worley Tarkington.
Thomas served his country with pride as he enlisted in the United States Army. After he went on to work for Western Electric for 37 years until he retired.
Thomas was an adventurous man. He loved to go camping and fishing with his family. He loved being outdoors and spending time doing what he loved. He also loved to go gambling with his wife Ruby whenever they could. He was the life of the party sometimes and always loved making people laugh. He will be deeply missed by his family.
Thomas is preceded in death by his wife Ruby Tarkington; son: Tony Tarkington; and 8 siblings.
Thomas is survived by his loving children: Ronnie Tarkington (Deborah) and Tammy Plung (Kevin); grandchildren: Josh Jones, Derrick Jones, Daniel Jones, Kim Guinn, and Tara Cole; and siblings: Brenda and Larry.
