She is preceded in death by her parents: Johnnie William Hooker and Mary Evelyn Kight Hooker; brother: Johnnie Hooker.
Velma is survived by her sisters: Barbara England and Sharon Kennedy.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2020, at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2020, at Polk Memorial Gardens.
