Wanda Ilene Stanfill, age 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on May 26, 2020, in her home surrounded by her family in Columbia, TN.

Wanda was born on January 26, 1939, in Hohenwald, TN, to her late parents Alfred Hartwell and Ella Christine Fain Poag.

Wanda was lovingly known as "Meam." She attended Columbia Central High School. Wanda and Wayne worked as a team in many self-owned and operated gas stations over the years in the Columbia area. She loved nature, spending time outdoors, yard work, and tending to her flowers. Wanda spent time doing genealogy work for her family stemming from her love of history. She was a faithful and longtime member of Highland Park Baptist Church. She loved her church family. Wanda had many loves in life, but none greater than her own family.

A service will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2020, at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, beginning at 12:00 pm with Rev. Wilson Henderson officiating and Pastor Bobby McCord assisting. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 28, 2020, at 10:00 AM until service time. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbia, TN.

Wanda Is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Douglas Wayne Stanfill; Siblings: James Rodney Poag and Victor Aaron Poag.

Wanda is survived by her daughter: Renee (Kenneth) Lovett of Columbia, TN; Grandson: Adam (Jeannie) Erwin; Siblings; Harold Douglas (Heidi) Poag, Brenda Joyce Webb, Charles Wayne Poag, Harvel Gordon (Brenda) Poag, and William Gary Poag; Great-Grandchildren: Emery Grace and Harlan Knox Erwin, Kaileigh Hope Baker and another great-grandchild on the way. Step-Grandchildren: Katie (Nathan) Hill and Ken (Hannah) Lovett; Step-Great-Grandchildren: Shelby and Parker Hill, Desmond, Lennon, McCartney, Rigby Starr Margaret Lovett. Wanda is also survived by her many nieces and nephews, as well as her special niece and caretaker, Mendy (Ed) Valenzuela. Her beloved canine companion, Pammie, also survives her.

Pallbearers for Wanda will be Manuel, Carla, and Austin Andonegui, DeWayne Cooper, Ed Valenzuela, and Kenny Brady.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the Staff of Hospice Compassus.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to The Highland Park Baptist Church "Press On" fund.
