Rev. William T. Johnson

Reverend William T. Johnson Sr. “Mr.Bill”, age 86, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021, in his home in Columbia, Tennessee.
Rev. William was born on September 13, 1935, in Columbia, Tennessee to the late Neil C. and Anna “Bullock” Johnson.
Rev. William was in the Army for many years and traveled to many different places, but Alaska was his favorite. After the Army, he was called into the ministry and was a Reverend at Independent Missionary Baptist Church in Vallejo, California. After, he became an outreach minister at Mt. Lebanon, and this paved his way to be at the Maury County Sheriff Department and Landfill and ministered to the inmates there. He was also employed at Safeway for many years.
Rev. William is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings: Neil D. Johnson, Joseph H. Johnson, and Eddie M. Jones.
Rev. William is survived by his children: Cherilyn Johnson, Deryl Johnson, Lisa Johnson, and William Johnson, Jr.(Regina); sisters: Julia Anderson and Aurelia Spraggs Johnson; grandchildren: William Johnson III., and Denise Johnson; 3 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
