William O. Poole, Jr.

July 23, 1946 — January 3, 2021

William "Junior" Otto Pool, Jr. age 74 passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 at his home in Mount Pleasant, TN surrounded by family. William was born in Appleton, TN July 23, 1946 to the late William Poole, Sr. and Mae Poole Jones.

William was the kind of person who never raised his voice. His strength of character and strong faith are qualities of William that defined him. He truly was a kind and loving person. He was absolutely dedicated to his family whom he loved more than anything. William married the love of his life Coletta Riggins and William shared 42 years of marriage together. In a addition to being a loving husband will was a wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather. He cared deeply for his church family. He spent over thirty years as a painter he truly enjoyed his work. When he wasn't working William enjoyed spending time fishing or hunting. William is loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

William is survived by his wife: Coletta Riggins Poole; step children: Darlene (Kent) Taylor, Brenda Roger, Tammy Woods, and James Mooningham; 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; and 3 nieces: Mary Hyatt, Sheila and Netta. William is preceded in death by his son John Mooningham and sisters Shirley Davidson and Alberta Castelle.

The family will visit with friends Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Main Street Church of Christ in Mount Pleasant. A celebration of his life will begin at 1:00 p.m. following visitation with Bro. Randy Kersey officiating.

Pallbearers are Hal Brown, Johnny Whilt, Larry Thompson, Robert Allen, and Gill Ellis, and Forrest Chapman.

Honorary pallbearers are theDeacons of Main Street Church of Christ.
