Alexander McDeavitt passed away on November 26, 2024,in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee.
Alexander was born on November 24, 1993, to Jan Clayton McDeavitt and Kimberly Kay Johnson in Columbia, Tennessee.
Alexander had a brilliant mind, especially when it came to technology. His computer skills and intelligence earned the admiration of everyone around him. A lover of music, his playlists seamlessly blended hip-hop, country, and rap—an eclectic reflection of his multifaceted personality. Fishing was one of his favorite pastimes, a peaceful retreat that perfectly suited his independent and reserved nature.Despite his quiet demeanor, Alexander had a selfless heart and a way of making everyone feel valued. He was a beloved “uncle” to his nieces and nephews, treasuring his special role in their lives. His kindness extended to all, as he was a friend to everyone he met.
Alexander is survived by his devoted mother, Kimberly Kay (Mike) Johnson, and father, Jan (Connie) McDeavitt. His memory will be cherished by his siblings: Aerial (Jonathan) Hinson, Alli (Travis) Hanvy, Andrew Gilliam, Austin (Alicia) Cunningham, Trent McDeavitt, Dusty (Brutney) Cella, and Katherine White. He leaves behind sixteen adoring nieces and nephews: Cashius, Bella, Greycin, Rymington, Channing, Abigail, Ivy, Tymber, Koah, Killian, Hayden, Noah, Avery, Presley, Gavyn, and Mason. Alexander also held a special bond with his cousin Delanie and her children, Willow and Jules. He is remembered by his grandmother, Donna Cunningham, and loving aunts: Kelley Jacobs and Kerri Dudley.
Alexander is preceded in death by his grandfather, Jack Cunningham; uncle, Greg Cunningham; and great-grandparents, Lester Beckman and Jewel Trice.
An honorary pallbearer will be his brother, Austin Cunningham.Pallbearers will be Travis Hanvy, Andrew Gilliam, Jonathan Hinson, Michael Jacobs, Christopher Jacobs, Cashius Cunningham, Rymington Cunningham, and Greycin Hanvy.
Alexander’s gentle spirit and compassionate soul will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered. May he rest in peace, forever surrounded by the love of those he touched in his lifetime.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Williams Funeral Home to assist the funeral costs during this difficult time.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. A service for Alexander will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. Alexander will be laid to rest at Polk Memorial Gardens.
