Ashley Alden Knox, age 55, passed away on March 27, 2026, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee due to heart complications.

Alden was preceded in death by his parents, Tillman and Bessie Dale Knox, and his brother, Jeffrey (Christye) Knox.

He is lovingly remembered by his brother, Tim (Cheryl Carroll) Knox; his nieces, Kayla (Toby) Lane, Hillary (Austin) Bratton, and Heather (Kelsey) Voss; his nephew, Jonathan Knox; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Alden was a man who truly enjoyed life and the people in it. He cherished time spent with friends, whether attending car shows and admiring classic rides, watching scary movies, throwing darts, or playing a good game of pool. He had a deep love for 80s rock music and could often be found cruising in his beloved Chevy Blazer with the music turned up loud, savoring the simple freedom of the moment. Alden was also an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching hockey—especially cheering on the Nashville Predators—and was a huge NASCAR fan, with Jeff Gordon among his favorites.

He will be remembered for his laid-back nature, free spirit, and love of good times, as well as the many friendships he formed throughout his life.

In a final act of generosity, Alden selflessly gave the gift of life through organ donation, offering hope and a second chance to others.

He will be deeply missed, but the memories of laughter, music, and shared moments will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, at the Mt. Pleasant chapel of Williams Funeral Home. A celebration of life will follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Polk Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Devotion.
