Barbara D. Nicholson, 92, of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026. 

She was born on February 10, 1934, in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, to the late Buford Dunavant and Coleah Dunavant Henson. Barbara was a beloved member of Craft Memorial United Methodist Church for over 40 years. She loved going to church, participating in bible study and playing cards with her circle of friends. She had a gift of sewing for many years, and she enjoyed tending to her roses. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank Nicholson, her sisters Joann Wallace, Linda Dixon and brother Harry Dunavant. She is survived by her children Tim (Jamie) Nicholson, and Terri King. A sister Sherry Bowman and sister-in-law Ruth Dunavant; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren (one on the way) and one great-great-grandchild along with many nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be held at Craft Memorial United Methodist Church 907 Hatcher Lane Columbia, Tennessee 38401, on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. Visitation with the family will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Craft Memorial United Methodist Church.
