Bertha Mae Boshers, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on August 4, 2025, at LifeCare Center in Columbia, Tennessee. She was born in Hohenwald, Tennessee, to the late Odell and Gladys Ament.
On March 28, 1954, Bertha married the love of her life, Eugene Boshers, Jr. Together, they built a strong and loving family, sharing a beautiful life for nearly 60 years before his passing—just shy of their diamond anniversary.
Bertha was also a long time member of Allensville Baptist Church.
Bertha was a woman of remarkable strength and quiet creativity. She had a true artist’s spirit and found joy in painting, sewing, playing the piano, and even woodworking. Her hands were rarely still—whether she was baking something delicious for her family or stitching something beautiful, she did it all with love. Her home was filled with warmth, laughter, and the aroma of her incredible baking. She was known as a devoted mother and a cherished “Nanny” to many.
She is survived by her loving children: Bobby (Jane) Boshers, Terry (Darlene) Boshers, Kimberly Hughes, and Benji (Heather) Boshers; and her son-in-law, Mike Williams. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Christopher (Rebecca) Boshers, Jeremy (Terri) Boshers, Kyle (Anna) Boshers, Katie Williams, Brandon Williams, Travis (Leslie) Brewer, Derek (Kayla) Boshers, Cody (Maddy) Boshers, Alex (Brittney) Hughes, Evan Boshers, and Cash Boshers; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, best friend: Katie Boshers; and longtime caregiver: Pearline Watkins.
Bertha was preceded in death by her loving husband, Eugene Boshers, Jr.; her daughter, Brenda Williams; her great-grandchild, Christopher Isaiah Boshers; and her siblings: Clarence Ament, Everett Reeves, Ray Ament, and Laura Bell Melton.

A service to celebrate Bertha’s life will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. The family will receive friends the same day from 12:00 PM until the start of the service.
Bertha will be laid to rest at Arlington Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee, beside her beloved husband.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her love, her strength, and the beauty she brought into the lives of those who knew her.
