Carlton Gossett, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026, at Maury Regional Medical Center. He was born on February 12, 1944, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Carlton was a good man with a strong personality and, as those who knew him well can attest, plenty of strong opinions. He was never afraid to speak his mind, and his honesty and straightforward nature were simply part of who he was. Beneath that strong exterior was a kind and caring man who loved his family and made an impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Carlton is now reunited with his beloved wife, Linda Gossett, and his parents. While his passing leaves an emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him, his memory will continue to live on through his family and the many lives he touched.

He is survived by his sons, Don Gossett and Jerry Gossett.
