In his younger years, he worked in the orange groves of Florida and later retired from careers at Dupont and Spontex.

Never one to be idle, Charles found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved to fish, tend his garden, and mow lawns—often sharing the fruits of his labor with friends and family. He served his community through the Maury County Civil Defense and Rescue Squad, embodying a spirit of service and dedication.

A man of the Pentecostal faith, Charles lived with quiet strength and a generous heart. Before his illness, he was a familiar face at Hardee’s every morning, enjoying coffee and conversation with his buddies. He was a tinkerer at heart, always working with his hands, fixing, creating, and giving his time to others.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Compassus Hospice in honor of Charles’s memory.

Charles Wesley Jackson will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, his kindness, and the deep love he held for his family and community. His legacy lives on in those who knew and loved him.
