Charles P. “Buddy” Rogers, age 93, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025. Known as “Buddy,” he brought joy, laughter, and warmth to everyone he met. He was known for his big smile, playful spirit, and the ability to turn any moment into a lighthearted one.
Buddy was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 69 years, Betty Ann Rogers, his parents, Commadore and Rose Lee Rogers, and his son, William Paul Rogers. He is lovingly remembered by his son Charles M. (Angie) Rogers; his granddaughter, Angela (Brad) Pounds; and four great-grandchildren, Austin, Alie, Andrew, and Aiden. He also shared a cherished friendship with Mary Ann Aldin.
Buddy was voted Most Popular in high school, where he also shined as the star football player. Outgoing and kind-hearted, he never met a stranger and left a lasting impression wherever he went. He had a deep love for genealogy, was a gifted jokester, and enjoyed dabbling in songwriting. His strong will and magnetic personality defined a life well-lived.
Buddy was a member of Graymere church of Christ and dedicated his time as a volunteer at Maury Regional Medical Center, offering smiles and service in equal measure.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at The Bridge of Columbia and the nursing staff of Caris Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
He will be cremated and laid to rest in Lone Oak Cemetery in Lewisburg, Tennessee, beside loved ones who went before him.
Buddy's legacy lives on through his family, his stories, and the laughter he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
