Clarence D. Dunnavant, born on August 12, 1932, in Giles County, TN, to the late R.C. Dunnavant and Irene Polly Dunnavant, peacefully passed away on September 4, 2023, in Columbia, TN.
On February 12, 1955, he married Ann Cunningham Dunnavant and together they built a life filled with love and shared experiences. Clarence was a dedicated member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, finding solace and community within its walls. He was also an active member of the Kiwanis of Columbia, demonstrating his commitment to improving the lives of those around him.
Clarence made a lasting impact in the world of insurance, having a fulfilling career and eventually owning his own independent office. He was known for his warm personality and enjoyed meeting fellow community members, forging connections that lasted a lifetime.
He leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted wife, Ann, daughter, Lisa (Rob) Burcham, and son, C. Mark Dunnavant. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Alyson Waggoner, David Burcham, Evan (Rebecca) Burcham, and Emily Burcham. Clarence is also survived by his sister, Ruth C. McGowan; sister-in-law: Emily (Doug) Smith, as well as his nephew, Stephan (Rhonda) Bass.
Clarence was preceded in death by his son, David Dunnavant, who passed away in 1984. A burial service will be held at a later date, allowing family and friends to come together to remember and celebrate the life of Clarence D. Dunnavant. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
