Clayborn Wallace Hill

Clayborn Wallace Hill, age 80, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, at his home in Bedford County, Tennessee.

Wallace was preceded in death by his parents, Lindsey and Mary Elizabeth Hill; his son, Timothy Wayne Hill; and several siblings. He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Shirley Hill of Unionville, TN; his brother, Robert Hill of Westmoreland, TN; and his sons, Jeff Hill of Mt. Juliet and Terrell (Donna) Hill of Unionville, TN. He was a proud grandfather to 19 grandchildren, a great great-grandfather to one, and a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.

A skilled trim carpenter and backhoe operator, Wallace had a keen eye for detail and took pride in a job done right. He was equally known for his love of the outdoors—fishing, hunting, and tending to his garden brought him joy throughout his life. He was also known for his quick wit and sense of humor, often bringing laughter to those around him. Whether stacking firewood for the winter or sharing a joke, Wallace lived with a quiet strength and a warm heart.

In keeping with his wishes, no formal services will be held.

Wallace will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
