Cora Faye Bennett, age 88, of Summertown, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at NHC Lawrenceburg Healthcare.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, with visitation beginning at 12:00 (noon) PM. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.

Faye was a hardworking woman who found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved being outdoors, especially tending to her yard, mowing grass, and caring for several area cemeteries. Never one to sit still for long, Faye always found something to keep herself busy. She took pride in a job well done and found happiness in staying active and caring for the places around her.

Faye also had a special love for collecting clocks, a hobby that brought her much enjoyment over the years. In the kitchen, she was known for her delicious homemade dumplings and cracklin' cornbread, dishes that will surely bring back fond memories for those who gathered around her table. Her hardworking spirit, familiar routines, and the little things that made her uniquely Faye will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Mary Alice Davis; her beloved husband, Willy C. Bennett; her son, Terry (Mary) Bennett; and her siblings, Florie (William) Workman, Christine "Dolly" (Wiley) Odom, Katie (Willard) McKennon, Clarence (Virginia) Davis, Annie Bell (Wesley) Buchanan, Elvin Davis, Elbert Davis, and Cleveland Davis.

She leaves behind her son, Rickey (Donna) Bennett; her grandchildren, Brent (Harlee) Bennett, TJ (Clara) Bennett, Tommy (Taylor) Bennett, and Corey Bennett; along with several cherished great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brent Bennett, TJ Bennett, Tommy Bennett, Sam Savage, Gwynn Savage, and Andy Bennett.

Faye's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, in the familiar ticking of a clock, in the beauty of a freshly mowed yard, and in the treasured recipes and memories she leaves behind.
