Coy Lee Wiseman

February 22, 1940 — June 25, 2023

 

Coy Lee Wiseman, a beloved husband,  father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on June 25, 2023, at the age of 83. He was born on February 22, 1940, in Maury County, Tennessee, to his loving parents Milus and Ola Wiseman. Coy Lee was a cherished member of his community, known for his warm heart, generous nature, and friendly disposition. He was a member of Main Street Church of Christ.

 

Throughout his life, Coy Lee found joy in the simple pleasures, especially his favorite hobbies of fishing, spending time at the river, and camping. He loved being outdoors, connecting with nature, and finding solace in its beauty. His dedication to his work was unwavering, as he faithfully served Columbia Mill and Elevator and Columbia Neon, making lasting contributions to the companies. Family meant everything to Coy Lee, and he treasured the moments spent watching his grandchildren play sports. He took immense pride in their achievements and was their biggest supporter. His family was his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

 

Coy Lee’s legacy lives on through his beloved children, Lesa (Ricky) Beckenbach and Vicky Chatman; grandchildren: Amanda (Jonathan Cooper) Turner, Robert (Wendy) Beckenbach, Shauna (Blake) Cooper, Brandy (Marquavon Sparkman) Simmons, and David (Jessica) Chatman. He was also blessed with numerous great-grandchildren, including Alyssa, Katelyn, and Austin Beckenbach, Ashley and Bryson Turner, Amber (Corey) Baker, Ryan Powell, Kaiden Chatman, Bentley Simmons, Brilee Lindsey, Kutler Steele, Corbin and Deegan Cooper, and Hunter and Hudson Baker; and Special Family, Dwayne Chatman and Craig Turner; Brothers, Ronnie Wiseman, Michael (Cynthia) Wiseman; Step-Brothers, Monk and Tootie Woodard; Sisters, Patricia Johnson, Linda Hall, and Marie Estes.

In addition to his parents and step-mom, Virginia Wiseman, Coy Lee is preceded in death by his wife, Flora Belle Wiseman; Sister, Betty (Ross) Lemay; Brothers, Donald Wiseman and Charles Wiseman.

 

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Ricky Glass and Randy Kersey officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington cemetery.

 

Pallbearers will be his Grand Daughters and Great Granddaughters. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Beckenbach, David Chatman, and Howard Lemay.

 

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to NHC Healthcare and Caris for their exceptional care and support during Coy Lee’s final days.
