Daniel W. Hudson, Jr., age 30, passed away peacefully at his home on December 28, 2025. He was born on July 18, 1995, to his loving parents, Daniel Hudson, Sr. and Lupita Hudson, who cherished him deeply.
Daniel was a sweet and caring soul, remembered by his family as humble, kind-hearted, and adventurous. He loved his family more than anything
and was immensely proud of his sisters, holding them close to his heart. Daniel found joy in the outdoors and was happiest when hunting, fishing, camping, or tending to his vegetable garden. He had a passion for collecting rocks, fossils, and coins, always curious and appreciative of the natural world around him.
Daniel was also a wonderful cook. According to his family, the best dish he ever made was duck—a meal that became a cherished memory for all who shared it with him. He had graduated from TCAT- Hohenwald in early 2025 and was proud to have begun his career as a machinist with Dynamic Structures and Materials in Franklin, Tennessee, looking forward to the future with quiet determination.
He is survived by his loving parents, Daniel Hudson, Sr. and Lupita Hudson; his sisters, Elizabeth Hudson and Ana Hudson Stephens; his grandmothers, Pam Hudson and Alba Arce; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Daniel is reunited in eternal rest with his grandfathers, James R. Hudson and Antonio M. Arce.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Robinette, Jackson Robinette, Will Hudson, Trevor Phelps, Henry Stephens, and Clay Gillam.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Columbia, Tennessee, with a memorial service to follow at 12:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held later that same day at 1:30 p.m. at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church. A private burial will take place at a later date.
Daniel’s gentle spirit, love for family, and appreciation for life’s simple joys will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His family will forever miss their sweet son and brother.
