David Little

May 3, 1944 — December 31, 2025

David Little, age 81, passed away peacefully at home on December 31, 2025. He was born on May 3, 1944, in Wayne, Michigan, to Charles K. and Helen Little. David grew up in a large and loving family with twelve siblings, an upbringing that shaped his lifelong devotion to family, faith, and community.

David met and married the love of his life, Kathy Amos, and together they shared a strong, loving, and faithful marriage built on mutual devotion, trust, and faith in God. They were blessed with two children, whom David loved deeply and guided with patience, kindness, and steady encouragement. A gifted singer and writer of gospel music, David used his God-given talents to glorify the Lord, joyfully singing in church and sharing music that inspired and uplifted those around him. His songs were an expression of his faith and a reflection of his grateful heart. A devoted member of Grace Church in Columbia, Tennessee, David was known as a good and strong Christian man whose faith was evident not only in words, but in the way he lived his life each day.

In addition to his love of music and worship, David enjoyed playing golf and tennis, finding joy in both friendly competition and time spent outdoors. Above all else, he cherished time with his family and friends. Whether sharing laughter, stories, or quiet moments together, David’s greatest happiness came from being surrounded by those he loved. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, steady presence, and unwavering love for his family and friends.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy Little; his children, Kenny (Heather) Little and Kerri (Jason) Hughes; and his treasured grandchildren, Ashton Little, Kaylie Little, James Little, and Jaxon Hughes. He is also survived by his siblings, Sunny Meissner, Paul Little, Philip Little, James Little MD, Lenore Overton, and Heather Overton, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles K. and Helen Little; his siblings, Loretta Dailey, Ken Little, John Little, Patrick Little, Daniel Little, and Andrew Overton; and his special uncle and aunt, Robert and Joyce Little.

David will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his musical gifts, his gentle strength, and the deep love he had for his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the songs of praise he shared.
