Obituary

Diane Duvall Huffman Lovell, born October 9, 1954, passed away peacefully in her home on January 26, 2026, in Columbia, Tennessee.

She was born in Marshall County, Tennessee, to the late Doris Duvall and Aline Johnson McNeely, and was raised alongside her stepfather, James “Jimmy” McNeely.

Diane was free-spirited and fiercely independent, living her life to the fullest and always on her own terms. Strong-willed and determined, she faced life with grit, heart, and authenticity. Her love for animals was one of her defining traits—so much so that she proudly owned and operated her own pet store in Columbia, Tennessee, a dream that reflected her compassion and dedication to animals of all kinds.

She also had a deep love for gardening and flowers, and even after retiring, she continued to share that passion by working in the florist department at Kroger. Diane found joy in life’s simple pleasures and especially cherished the companionship of her beloved cat, LA, and her loyal dog, Bubba.

Her greatest joy was her family. Diane’s legacy lives on through her daughter, Heather Owen; Diane’s significant other, Reggie Andrews; her grandchildren, McKenly and Kannon Owen; her precious great-granddaughter, Georgia Mac Owen; siblings: Jamie Smith and Tom “Bubba” Duvall; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and stepfather, Diane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald “Ronnie” Lovell.

Diane will be remembered for her strength, independence, love for animals, and the fearless way she lived her life. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
