Donald Ray Robson

August 1, 1946 — January 1, 2026

Donald Ray Robson, age 79, of Waynesboro, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on January 1, 2026.

Born in Jackson County, Ohio, Donald was the son of the late Charles W. Robson and Eileen Sherman Robson. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Sherley Parker.

A quiet and private man, Donald found comfort in the simplicity of small-town life. He was an employee of Hassell & Hughes Lumber Company, where he worked as a machine operator in the flooring mill. His skill extended beyond his work—he was a talented carpenter who proudly built his own home, a reflection of his dedication and craftsmanship.

Donald served his country with honor in the United States Marine Corps. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, early mornings with a strong cup of coffee, and watching the sunrise. He would often be seen behind the wheel of his beloved blue Ford truck.

He deeply loved his wife, Barbara Pollock Robson, with whom he shared 46 great years of life and memories.

Donald is survived by his wife Barbara; his sons Charles (Nettie) Robson of Waynesboro, TN, Lewis A. (Myra) Jones of Naples, FL, and Jason Worthington of Waynesboro, TN; his daughter Audrey (Troy) Price of Lawrenceburg, TN; his brother Charles R. Robson of Waynesboro, TN; and his cherished grandchildren: Charles N. Robson, Nicole E. Robson, Mathew Jones, Kayla Jones, Haley Worthington, Katie Cutron, and Victoria Price.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (225 N Michigan Ave. Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601) in Donald’s memory.

Williams Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences can be given to the family at williamsfh.com.
