Donna Ashley

Donna Ashley, 70, passed away on August 12, 2025, at NHC-Columbia. She was born on March 25, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Voyle and Mildred Harris. At the age of five, she moved with her family to Memphis, Tennessee, where she later graduated as valedictorian of her high school class of 1973.

A dedicated nurse practitioner for over 30 years, Donna obtained her master’s degree from the University of Alabama. Her career was marked by compassion, excellence, and an unwavering commitment to helping others.

Donna was a devoted mother, loving grandmother, and a woman whose kindness, humor, and warmth touched everyone she met. She was an avid lover of music and nature, often finding joy in the beauty of the outdoors and the melodies that moved her soul. She also enjoyed relaxing with her favorite soap operas and cherishing time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Lee Ashley, and her parents. She is survived by her children: Rikki Douglas Schroeder, David Robison, Erin Robison, Zachary Ashley, and Joshua Ashley; her grandchildren: Grant Carroll, Gracie Carroll, and Gabe Carroll; her sister, Hope Ingram; her nephew, Drew Gross; and numerous other extended family members and dear friends who will miss her greatly.

Donna’s legacy of love, dedication, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
