Dorothy Guye Bratcher

February 13, 1937 — May 7, 2002

Mrs. Dorothy Guye Wilson Bratcher, 65, a resident of Clauson Drive in Columbia, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2002 after an extended illness at Maury Regional Hospital.

A celebration of her life will be Thursday, May 9, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at the Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Reverend William Owens and Tommy Harrell officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens in Nashville. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 1:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Davidson County native was the daughter of Cora Simmons Guye Pickering of Nashville and the late Fred Guye. She was the wife of Howard Bratcher whom she married on April 21, 1958. She was a former Maury County business woman and homemaker of forty years. She was the founder and owner of House of Knots Crafts in Columbia and also Video Villa in Mt. Pleasant. She was a life-long member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Nashville.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a son, Robert Michael Wilson of Columbia, TN; a sister, Joyce Guye Tommy Harrell of Old Hickory, TN; 5 brothers, Carl Juanita Guye of Cumberland Furnace, TN, Robert Norma Guye of Ashland City, TN, Freddie Ray Era Guye of Joelton, TN, John Brenda Guye and Ricky Bobbie Keel of Nashville, TN; several nieces and nephews; Special niece, Crystal Keel of Columbia, TN; adopted daughter, Barbara David Boyd of Lawrenceburg, TN.

Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.
