A devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and loyal friend, Dudley lived life to the fullest and brought joy to everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Dudley was preceded in death by his parents, Dudley Sr. and Lonnie Griffin; his beloved wife, Anita Griffin; and his son, Shannon Griffin.

He is survived by his daughter, Erica (Jeff) Benderman; and his cherished grandchildren, Sara (Kent Simmons) Lovelace, Brianna Gillispie, Bethany Griffin, Joshua (Esther) Hall, Zachariah (Arlaina Heming) Griffin, Jaylynn Brooks, Jordan Brooks, MacKenzie Simmons, Blake Simmons, Zavion Frierson, Ka’mya Frierson, David Hall, Kylo Brooks, Tesearah Griffin, Colton Griffin, and Wesley Griffin, along with many extended family members and friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

Dudley proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy for eight years as a Petty Officer First Class, torpedoman mate. Following his military service, he worked for Ford Motor Company, where he dedicated many years of hard work and commitment.

A man of strong faith, Dudley attended the church of Christ and carried his beliefs with quiet strength throughout his life. He was proud of his Native American heritage and embraced life with a spirit of adventure and curiosity. Dudley loved traveling internationally, riding his Harley-Davidson Softail motorcycle, and cheering on his beloved Detroit Lions.

Known for his feisty personality and unforgettable sense of humor, Dudley had a gift for making others laugh. With a big smile on his face, he was always trying to “get a rise” out of family and friends, creating moments of laughter that will be remembered for years to come. His love, kindness, and joyful spirit touched countless lives.

Though he will be deeply missed, Dudley’s memory will live on through the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love he gave so freely to those around him.
