Edith Teague

December 18, 1938 — April 12, 2023

Waynesboro

Edith Matilda Teague, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, in Waynesboro, Tennessee, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on December 18, 1938, to the late George Rees and Aurelia Yountz Rees in Riverdale, Maryland. Edith is preceded in death by her beloved husband Paul A. Teague and her son, Dwayne Teague.

Edith will always be remembered for her larger-than-life personality. She had a gullible sense of humor and the mouth of a sailor, always telling it how it is. You could count on Edith to brighten up any room she walked into with her infectious laughter and hilarious jokes.

Edith had a special love for food, and most people would recognize her from eating out at her favorite restaurants. She never turned down dessert and always enjoyed her meals to the fullest. Edith also had a soft spot for her family, and her children and grandchildren meant everything to her.

Edith is survived by her children: David Sara, Kenneth Sara, Jamie Teague, and Jenetta Alford, seven grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. Her family will miss her dearly, but they take comfort in knowing that Edith is now reunited with her husband and son in a better place.

Edith's memory will live on through the many people she touched during her life.

The care of Ms. Edith Matilda Teague and her family has been entrusted to the staff of Williams Funeral Home. To share words of comfort and condolences, please visit www.williamsfh.com.
