Edna Dean Brashears

Mrs. Edna Dean Noah Brashears, 90, resident of North Locust Street in Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, May 13, 2002, in Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Mrs. Brashears will be conducted Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Tommy Hagewood officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 ? 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

She was a native of Giles County, the daughter of the late P. H. and Nina Meyers Noah. She was the wife of the late L.V. ?Pete? Brashears, who preceded her in death in 1989. She was retired from Mt. Pleasant Manufacturing and was a member of the Locust Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. William Shirley Carter of Hendersonville; one son, Ronald Norma Brashears of Mt. Pleasant; seven grandchildren, Michael Maria Carter of Nashville, David Carter of Nashville, Terri Steve Capel of Waverly, Tim Kathy Brashears of Culleoka, Tracey Bobby Haywood of Summertown, Marta Brashears of Ashland City and Jeremy Brashears of Ashland City; 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Ray Brashears of Ashland City, three brothers and four sisters.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Frances Hill, Faye Davis, nurses and staff of NHC Hillview, elders and deacons of Locust Street Church of Christ and nephews.
