Freddy "Butch" Holder

Freddy "Butch" Holder, age 79, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025, at Southern Tennessee Regional Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.

Born on June 1, 1945, to the late JW Holder and Waldene Qualls Holder, Freddy was a hardworking man with a generous spirit and a love for restoring old treasures. He found joy in bringing new life to the things others might have forgotten and had a passion for working and providing for those he loved.

Freddy proudly served his country in the United States Army as a truck driver during the Korean War, and he carried that same sense of duty and service throughout his life. He never met a stranger and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. His kindness and welcoming nature left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

He is survived by his loving children: Kenneth Holder and Rochelle Ribley; his devoted significant other, Peggy Golden; and stepdaughter: Christy Watkins. Freddy also leaves behind his siblings, Kim Runions and Wendall Holder; 12 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his stepchildren: Jimmy Graham and Dwayne Golden; parents and his brother, Mike Holder.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. A funeral service to honor Freddy’s life will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Bumpass Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.

Freddy’s legacy of hard work, generosity, and love will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing him.
