IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Glen
Stone
August 14, 1949 – January 18, 2026
Glen Stone, age 76, passed away peacefully in his home on January 18, 2026. He was born on August 14, 1949, in Pulaski, Tennessee, to Irene Williams Stone Dalton and the late Paul Thomas Stone.
Glen was a natural storyteller who truly never met a stranger. His outgoing spirit and kind heart made everyone feel welcome, and he had a way of turning everyday moments into memorable stories. Above all else, Glen loved his family deeply—his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the center of his world.
He cherished traveling with his beloved wife, Shirley, and together they made countless treasured memories exploring the world. Their adventures included trips to Alaska, Amsterdam, Italy, Germany, France, Switzerland, the mountains, and the beach. Glen especially loved trains, with fond memories of riding the rails in Alaska. His favorite trip of all was a dinner train ride he and Shirley enjoyed together in late 2025—a memory he spoke of often and held close to his heart.
Glen was a faithful member of West 7th Church of Christ, where he found fellowship and community.
He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Stone; his children, Dawn (Lee) Smalling, Tracy Bolton, Charlie (Anissa) Carlisle, and Karrie Banks; his mother, Irene Stone Dalton; his siblings, Linda Stone Chapman and Larry (Nancy) Stone; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He is reunited in Heaven with his beloved son, Jamie Glen Stone, and his father, Paul Thomas Stone, and nephew: Thomas Stone.
Glen’s legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable stories will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
