Glendale Abbe's Obituary

Glendale Lee Abbe, age 81, passed away on January 1, 2026, in Columbia, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Coraline Parrott, and by her beloved son, Anthony Edward Kinsey; ; and her siblings, Jack Parrott, Joe Parrott, Timmy Parrott, Gregory Parrott, Clark Parrott, Bobbi Mulero, and Joan Tucker.

Glendale is survived by her loving daughter, Tammy Lister; her cherished grandchildren, Kitty Kinsey, Melody Kinsey, Shawn Williams, and Cassandra Adams; and her eight great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

Glendale was a woman of many talents and passions. She found peace and beauty in creating art, especially painting outdoor scenes with oil and acrylics. She also enjoyed crocheting and spending time on the computer—though her curiosity often led to unexpected “malfunctions,” something she took in stride with humor.

Her greatest passion was working with horses. Glendale loved training, showing, and barrel riding, and she felt most at home around the horses she cared for so deeply. She was also a wonderful cook, well known among family and friends for her delicious meals—especially her famous mandarin orange cake, which became a treasured favorite.

While living in Florida, Glendale devoted herself to serving children in her community by working as a school bus driver, ensuring they arrived safely each day. Her quiet dedication, creativity, and love for family will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Glendale Lee Abbe will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on through the lives she touched, the art she created, and the love she shared.
