Ms. Gloria Renee Thomason Emmitt, age 52, a resident of Hidden Acres Drive in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Tuesday, March 9 at her residence.
Graveside services for Ms. Emmitt will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday at Polk Memorial Gardens with Rick Points officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to service time at the cemetery.
Born June 5, 1957 in Maury Co., Renee was the daughter of Douglas Thomason and the late Mary Ella Scott England. She worked as a waitress and delivered newspapers for the Daily Herald and Tenneesean. She loved gardening and flowers. Renee was a loving mother and grandmother and a member of the Mt. Pleasant First Baptist Church.
In addtion to her father, she is survived by her children: Kerri Cornelia Kelley of Mt. Pleasant, Cassie Nicole Clawson of Huntsville, AL and Ashley Sullivan Emmitt of Pulaski; step father: Neal England, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant; sister: Theresa Neely Craig of Scottsville, Al; brother: Johnathan England of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren: Jansen Wodard, Michael Lance Kittl, Kaelyn Denise Owens and Jordan Zaidan. She was preceded in death by a son: Lance Emmitt.
Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
