Harry Edward Parish, Sr.

Harry Edward Parish, Sr., age 87, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Parish was born on September 17, 1938, in Charleston, SC, to the late James Glenn Parish, Sr., and Mary Catherine McAlhaney Parish. He was raised in Charleston until serving in the United States Marine Corps. He then began his career with Mobil Chemical Company that later relocated him and his young family to Tennessee in 1970. Harry worked as a supervisor until retirement with Rhone-Poulenc Chemical Company. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, where he served faithfully. He was also a long-time member of the Mt. Pleasant Country Club and enjoyed playing golf with many friends and family.

He will be fondly remembered as a snappy dresser with a witty sense of humor who loved spending time with his family and going to the movies. Also for his love, kindness, and generosity to everyone he met.

Funeral services for Harry will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 2:0 PM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 12:00 until services time at 2:00 PM. Harry will then be laid to rest in Polk Memorial Gardens.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Philip Parish, one sister, June Rabon and one brother, James Parish.

Harry is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Frida Redick Parish; children, Harry Parish, Jr., (Delicia), Paige Parish (Jessica); grandchildren, Ashley Fleming (Phil), Laura Parish (Devin), Quentin Parish, Molly Parish and Baylee Parish; great-grandchildren, Waylon Fleming and Wave Parish; siblings: Charlie Parish (Cheryl) and Annie Thompson; and along with nieces, nephews, beloved family members and friends.

American Legion Post 19 will be rendering military honors. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Scotty Eastep, Terry Williams, Rodney Massey, Brent Lovell, Phillip Fleming, and Quentin Parish.
