Helen Demerse, age 92, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2019 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Helen was born on December 12, 1926 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada to the late Benjamin and Veronica Shepherd. She trained and raised race horses. Helen was spunky and always full of life and energy.
Helen is survived by her daughters Julia Owens and Sandra Fulcher; grandchildren James (Carly) Owens, Karen Chouinard, and Kyle Fultcher; and several great-grandchildren.
