J.T. Shrader, age 74, passed away in his home on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, in Summertown, Tennessee.
J.T. was born on September 5, 1948, in Summertown, Tennessee to the late Scott G. Shrader and Nellie Pike Shrader.
J.T. was a good man. He would help anybody he could. He loved helping the community he was raised in with any type of outdoor work. He was also a skilled gardener. J.T. grew all sorts of vegetables in his garden. One of his favorite events was participating in Oktoberfest every year. He also worked in the maintenance department for many years for Summertown Elementary and High School.
J.T. was a family man. He adored his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He loved watching them grow into fine adults. He also adored his furbaby: Peanut. J. T. was an avid Ford man. He even owned a 1965 Mustang that he treasured.
J.T. will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
J.T. is preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Nancy Shrader, and his brother, Jerry Shrader.
J.T. is survived by his children: Junior Shrader, Scottie Shrader (Brandy Stevenson), and Crystal Anderson (James); grandchildren: Paige Shrader, Thomas Shrader, Eve Bonadio (Sebastion), Madison Ford, Eliza Shrader, Lukas Anderson, JD Anderson, Grace Anderson, Stephanie Stevenson, Dakota Stevenson, and Hannah Stevenson; great-grandchildren: Josephine Sherouse, Anastasia Shrader, S.J. Bonadio, Ivey Stevenson, Winter Neff, Athena Stevenson, and Sophia Stevenson; and girlfriend: Vivian Walls.
A visitation for J.T. Shrader will be on Monday, January 9, 2023, at Whispering Hills Church from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A service for J.T. will be Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Whispering Hills Church at 1:00 pm with Terry Potts officiating. J.T. will be laid to rest at Himes Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Cocke, Howard Staggs, Ricky Gray, Stanley Gray, PD Runions, and Fred Glass.
Honorary Pallbearers will be James Anderson, Drew Bradley, and JD Anderson.
