Jack Patterson

Jack Lane Patterson, age 60, passed away peacefully at his home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee on June 23, 2025. Born on October 28, 1964, in Riley, Kansas, Jack was the beloved son of the late Douglas and Annalesse Patterson.

A hardworking man with a deep love for the land, Jack spent much of his life as a truck driver. He found joy in the quiet rhythms of farm life—particularly tending to his cows and counting them, a simple pleasure that brought him peace.

Jack was a devoted member of Freedom Church of Christ and a faithful Christian man who lived his life with quiet strength and compassion. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Matthew Eugene Patterson, his parents, Douglas and Annalesse Patterson, and Grandparents, Theodore(Pat) Patterson and Lila Mae Patterson. 

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Shelia Patterson; his son, Jacob Patterson; and two cherished grandchildren, Ashton Lee Patterson and Matthew Layne Patterson. He also leaves behind his brother, Johnny Patterson, and many extended family members and friends who will miss his steady presence and kind spirit.

Pallbearers will be Mark Laws, Donnie Barnett, Danny Shaffer, Eddie Henson, Billy Johnson, and Phillip Brown.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. A celebration of Jack’s life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home, with Shawn Kelley and David Kersey officiating. Jack will be laid to rest at Freedom Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee, beside his son.
