James Allan Brazier, 78, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on September 5, 2025. He was born on November 9, 1946, in Lawrence County to the late Paulie Brazier and Margaret Jo Staggs Marlin.
James enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved spending time outdoors, bowling, watching movies, traveling—especially to the mountains—and cheering for the Tennessee Vols. Above all, he cherished time with his family and loved playing with his great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Portia Brazier; children: Luke Brazier, Chris Brazier, Tabitha Brazier, and Tamara Brazier (Brian) McLaughlin; grandchildren: Zach Jones, Krysten Bentley, Alee Brazier, Logan Brazier, Ian Brazier, Storme McLaughlin, and Xander McLaughlin; great-grandchildren: Ashten Bentley, Elijah Bentley, Amelia Jones, and Eden Jones; and siblings: Steve Brazier, Donna Johnson, Teri Redd, and Vicki (Michae) Davis; and sister in laws: June Brazier and Sandy Brazier.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paulie Brazier and Margaret Jo Staggs Marlin, and siblings: Donnie, Wayne, Eddie, Wallie, David, and Paulette.
A celebration of life for Allan close friends and family welcome we will be held on Wednesday September 10th at Crockett park restaurant in the basement at 430 pm -730 pm.
James will be remembered for his kindness, his love of life, and the joy he brought to everyone around him. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
