It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Cozart, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and a pillar of his community. James departed this world on January 10, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, hard work, and a deep appreciation for the great outdoors.
Born on July 25, 1959, in Lewisburg, Tennessee, James was the son of the late Donald D. and Lois Marie Cozart. Growing up as one of seven siblings, James learned the values of family, hard work, and compassion from an early age. These principles shaped the man he became – a hardworking countryman with a heart of gold.
James was a true lover of nature, finding solace and joy in the great outdoors. Whether he was casting a line while fishing, navigating the trails on his four-wheeler, cruising on his motorcycle, or tending to his land on his trusty tractor, James felt a profound connection with the world around him. His enthusiasm for life's simple pleasures was contagious, and he shared his passions with everyone he met.
Known for his generosity and willingness to help others, James was the embodiment of the adage "a friend in need is a friend indeed." He believed in looking out for one another and doing what was right, a philosophy that endeared him to all who had the privilege of crossing his path.
James leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be forever cherished by his surviving family. He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Cozart, who stood by his side through thick and thin. James is also survived by his children: Linda Hamn, Charles Enright, Patrick (Shonda) Enright, and Wendy Enright, along with ten beloved grandchildren. His memory will be kept alive by his siblings: Donald Cozart, Greg Cozart, Jennifer Higginbotham, Sandra Briggs, April Cozart, and Timmy Cozart.
In this time of sorrow, let us remember James Cozart for the joy he brought into our lives, the kindness he shared with others, and the enduring love he leaves behind.
