James Edward Harvell, Jr

James E. Harvell, Jr. was born on February 8, 1956, to James E. Harvell, Sr. and Ruth J. Conner Harvell whom have preceded him in death; also, by his brother Willie Brown.

James is survived by two brothers Raymond (Dot) Conner and David Harvell, sister Maggie Harvell McNabb.

James retired from miliary service after 18 years. He worked retail for about 10-12 years. In his spare time, he liked to read and watch sports, especially the great Tennessee Volunteers, Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Braves.

James has several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Fresenius Kidney Care, and the SCATS drivers who provided transportation, the staff at Vanderbilt Hospital, special friends Tom Hoover, Lisa Choate and Karen Evans.

Pallbearers are Jerry Conner, Andrew Conner, Johnnie Conner, George Conner, Caleb Vaughn, Andy Brumit. Alternate pallbearers are James Runions, Hunter Runions, Micheal Bolton, Justice Bolton. Honorary Pallbearers are Danny Conner. Billy Runions, Jr., Raymond Conner, Jr., Jerry McNabb.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Williams Funeral Home. Bro. Rock Jaggers will be officiating.

A funeral service with military honors will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the Arbors Pavilion at Polk Memorial Gardens on Trotwood Avenue at 2:00PM.

James will truly be missed by his family.
