November 12, 1946 — December 9, 2023

James Scoggins, a beloved father, grandfather, partner, and proficient salesman, departed this world on December 9, 2023, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, surrounded by his cherished family. He was born on November 12, 1946, to the late Arnold Lee Scoggins and Sadie Elva Robinette Scoggins.

James was a skilled salesman, showcasing his talents from selling socks to cars throughout his successful career. His passion for connecting with people and his natural charisma made him excel in his profession, leaving a lasting impact on those he encountered. Beyond the hustle and bustle of work, James found joy in the simple pleasures of life.

A true enthusiast of the outdoors, James had a fondness for hunting and fishing, finding solace and excitement in nature. His weekends often included visits to the flea market, where he delighted in discovering unique treasures and connecting with vendors. Additionally, he took pleasure in the adrenaline of NASCAR races, finding relaxation in the roar of the engines and the thrill of the track.

Above all, James held a deep love for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of devotion and warmth, survived by his significant other of over 23 years, Judy Coleman, and their blended family. James is lovingly remembered by his children: Cyndi (Jason) Fulton, Rauni Renee Gott, Becky (Butch) Koch, Tammy (Clint) Jackson, and Amy (Chad) Devasher.

Additionally, he leaves behind 11 great-grandchildren, with another on the way.

James Scoggins will be remembered not only for his professional achievements but also for his zest for life, his love for family, and the indelible mark he left on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace, and may his family find solace in the cherished memories they shared.
