Jerry L. Ballard, Jr., age 65, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2026, in Columbia, Tennessee. He was born on November 27, 1960, in Columbia, Tennessee, to Patsy J. Daniels and the late Jerry L. Ballard, Sr.

Jerry was a man who valued education and believed in the importance of continuing to learn and grow. He proudly earned his bachelor's degree from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) and was pursuing his master's degree in history at the time of his passing, a testament to his dedication and determination.

In his free time, Jerry enjoyed antiquing, always appreciating the history and stories behind the treasures he discovered. He was also a devoted sports fan who proudly cheered on the Tennessee Titans and the Tennessee Volunteers. Whether it was football season or a day spent searching for antiques, Jerry found joy in the things he loved. He also shared a special bond with his beloved furry companion, Sammie, who held a cherished place in his heart.

Jerry is now reunited with his father, Jerry L. Ballard, Sr., and his brother, Robert Daniel Ballard, who preceded him in death in 2014. Though his passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved him, there is comfort in knowing he is reunited with those who went before him.

Jerry leaves behind his loving mother, Patsy J. Daniels and stepfather: Jerry L. Jackson; his niece, Danielle M. Jackson; and his beloved companion, Sammie.

A Celebration of Life honoring Jerry will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 23, 2026 from 11:00 AM to the start of the service at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee.
