John Fielder, age 80, passed away peacefully at his home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee on May 19, 2025. Born December 12, 1944, in Gideon, Missouri, John was the son of the late Harold and Ruby Fielder.
A proud and passionate man, John lived life on his own terms. He spent many years as a senior engineer with his heart always close to home. He found great joy in building racecars with his son and cherished the quiet moments spent fishing. Above all, he deeply loved his family—especially his grandchildren—and his beloved dog, Delilah, who rarely left his side.
Outspoken and free-willed, John had a unique way of doing things, and he liked them done his way. He was a man of principle, deeply loyal, and always made his presence known. His bond with his family was strong, and he was never happier than when surrounded by those he loved.
John is survived by his devoted wife, Diana Fielder; his children: Johnny (Christine) Fielder of Paris, Tennessee, and Julie (Doug) Truelove of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee; and his son-in-law, Bobby Gill of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. He leaves behind his grandchildren: Trey Fielder, Candace Fielder, TJ Mims, Morgan Mims, Nathaniel Mims, Christy (Dustin) Laster, Nick (Brittany) Gill, Eric (Allie) Roberts, Lindsey (Peyton) Roberson, and Caleb Truelove; as well as 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Ellen Jackson, Mickey (Virginia) Fielder, Bud Fielder, Larry (Evie) Fielder, Holly (Harry) Wright, and Marilyn (Rob) Brewer.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ruby Fielder, and his beloved daughter, Ramona Gill.
