Obituary

John Pool, age 39, passed away on October 8, 2026, in Mobile, Alabama. He was born on September 1, 1987, in Wyandotte, Michigan, to John and Julie Pool.

John was a man who loved deeply, lived passionately, and held his faith close to his heart. Above all else, his greatest joy in life was his children, John Henry and Austyn, whom he loved more than life itself. His love for his family was unwavering, and the memories they shared will forever be treasured.

John proudly served his country in both the United States Navy and the United States Army. His dedication and willingness to serve reflected his love for his country and the pride he took in being an American.

John found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He loved spending time outdoors, watching baseball and football, learning about history, and appreciating a good truck. He enjoyed hot sauce, the excitement of a good storm, and the companionship of his beloved cat, Walter. These little pieces of who John was will bring smiles to the faces of those who knew and loved him.

Most importantly, John loved the Lord. As a teenager, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior while attending church camp in Michigan. His faith remained a source of assurance throughout his life, and he never wavered in knowing that his salvation was secure. His family finds great comfort in the promise of eternal life through Christ and the knowledge that John is now resting in the presence of his Lord and Savior.

While his passing leaves an immeasurable emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him, his family takes comfort in imagining the joyful reunion taking place in Heaven. John is now reunited with some of the great men in his famiy. his beloved Paw Paw Hilton Harrah, Paw Paw Nutter, and Paw Paw Gary Harrah. What a beautiful reunion it must be.

Though life will never be quite the same without John, his family holds tightly to the promise that this goodbye is not forever. Through their faith in Jesus Christ, they find peace in knowing they will one day be together again in the presence of the Lord.

John is survived by his beloved children, John Henry Pool and Austyn Pool; his loving parents, John and Julie Pool; and grandfather: John Pool II

John is also reunited with his grandmothers: Maw Maw Nutter, Maw Maw Kate Harrah, Granny Betty Pool.
