Johnny Edward Parsons, age 70, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, Johnny brought warmth, laughter, and a vibrant spirit to all who knew him.
Johnny was a man who never met a stranger. Outgoing and full of personality, he had a lifelong passion and expertise in truck tires—a trade that showcased his strong work ethic and practical knowledge. Beyond his work, Johnny found joy in the simple pleasures of life: listening to classic country music, playing cards, and spending time at the casino. He had a love for travel and experienced life in many different places, each chapter adding to the richness of his story.
He is preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Stephanie Parsons; his parents, Alfred Parsons, Sr. and Norma Evans; and siblings Lorrie Edgman, Floyd Craig Jr., Jerry Craig, Ronnie Parsons, Alfred Parsons, Jr.
Johnny is survived by his loving children, Audrey Grant and Lucky Grant; and his brothers, Tommy Craig and Jimmy Craig; his niece, Cassie Pool and nephews Daniel Craig and Josh Craig. His family and friends will remember him for his bold spirit, his stories, and the way he made everyone feel welcome.
A visitation time to honor Johnny’s life will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. A graveside service will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens at Noon.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages friends to remember Johnny in their own special way—perhaps with a game of cards, a favorite country song, or a memory shared with a loved one.
Post 19 will be rendering military honors.
