Joyce Denece Drew Burns, age 75, a resident of Mt. Pleasant passed away Friday, May 21, at her residence.
Joyce was born on August 18, 1934 in Salado, Ark. and was the daughter of the late Bernice and Laura Young Drew. She was the wife of Eugene Burns, Sr. for fifty three years. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Joyce was a phone operator for Pacific Bell, clerk at a clothing store, owner of a pet shop and worked at a movie theater. She was graduate of Bible School and a member of Trinty Family Church.
In addition to her husband she is survived by one daughter and two sons: Judith Mae Darrell Jones of Maryland, Eugene K Laura Burns Jr. of Columbia and Dennis Elizabeth Burns of Harriman, TN.
