Joyce M. Hutt, 85, ventured off to be with her heavenly family on Wednesday, April, 8, 2026.

Joyce was born in Massena, on March 18, 1941, daughter of the late James and Kathern (Steward) Hunter. She graduated from Massena Central School and married Callie D. Hutt, Jr. on April 25, 1959. They were blessed with two children, Penny and Terry Hutt. Callie predeceased her on December 30, 2007.

Joyce worked at several jobs in her life and wound up being a secretary. She worked several years for the local radio station WMSA. Then she as hired on as a secretary for the Massena Central School system where she retired from. Joyce was an active member of the local Eastern Star and a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She loved entertaining, cooking, canning and collecting dishes.

She is survived by her son Terry and Lori Hutt of Columbia, TN; four grandchildren, Aaron and TJ (Terry Hutt, Jr.) of TN; and Jason and Christy Williams of TX; six great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Joyce was preceded in death by both her parents Jim and Kathern Hunter, her husband Callie Hutt, Jr., and her daughter Penny Hutt.

A graveside service will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery Area #2, Massena New York, on July 17 at 11:00 AM.
