Juanita Wilson Goodman, a beloved member of the Columbia and Mount Pleasant communities, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025 at the age of 92.
Born on August 3, 1932, to Hunter and Edna Wilson, Juanita was a proud graduate of Haylong High School in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. She dedicated many years of service to Farm Bureau and was known for her strong work ethic and warm spirit.
Juanita was married to William "Willie" Goodman, who preceded her in death. Willie worked for Monsanto before becoming a small business owner. Together, they shared a life full of love, adventure, and service.
A passionate traveler, Juanita explored the United States, Europe, and Australia, always eager to learn and experience new cultures. She was a devoted volunteer at Maury Regional Hospital, where her kindness and compassion touched many lives. A faithful member of Locust Street Church of Christ in Mount Pleasant, Juanita loved her life guided by her faith and a deep commitment to helping others.
She is survived by her cousin: Sonny Trousdale; and dear friends: Dee White, Pam Williamson, who were life family to her.
A private burial will be held at Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbia, Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Maury Regional Medical Foundation, Columbia, State Community College, King's Daughters School, or the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief fund- causes that were close to Juanita's heart.
Juanita's legacy of service, friendship, and faith will be cherished by all who knew her.
