Katherine Brown

Katherine Brown, age 76, passed away on May 28, 2025, at LifeCare Center of Columbia, Tennessee. She was born on September 12, 1948, to the late Eugene and Katie Odom.

Katherine was known for her free spirit and strong will. She lived life on her own terms and wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. She had a sharp sense of humor and a deep love for her family. In her quiet moments, she enjoyed watching her favorite soap operas and Judge Judy—a routine that brought her comfort and familiarity over the years.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Brown; her parents, Eugene and Katie Odom; and her siblings: Carolyn Massey, Nancy Workman, Betty Reed, Neal Odom, Pamela Poston, Ray Odom, Jo Workman, and Bobby Gene Odom.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Phillip (Sherrie) Brown and Greg (Danielle) Brown; her grandchildren: Noah (Grace) Brown, Kaitlin Brown, Kolton Brown, Nicholas (Tasha) Laws, Joey (Greyson) Norman, and Brandi (Danny) Norman; and her great-grandchildren: Kayden, Kassidy, Averie, and Jasper. She is also survived by her siblings: Janie Workman, Jeff (Peggy) Odom, Sharon (Danny) Estes, Gay McManamon, and Shelia (Jack) Patterson, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the same location, with Terry Chapman officiating. Katherine will be laid to rest at Arlington Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Brown, Noah Brown, Nicholas Laws, Joey Norman, Adam Laws, and Tyler Smith.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Rosemary Chapman and Cathy Odom for the love and compassionate care given to Katherine.

Katherine will be remembered for her strength, her laughter, and the love she gave to her family. She will be deeply missed.
