Larry Copeland Jones

Larry Copeland Jones, age 84, passed away on Saturday, November 29th, 2025 at Life Care Center in Columbia, Tennessee.

He was born on May 14th, 1941 to the late Ernest and Virginia Jones of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. Larry lived a life marked by devotion, hard work, and deep love for his family.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife Deborah, his son Kevin Jones (Laura), his granddaughter Hilary Duncan (John), his great grandchildren Landon, Everly and Oakley, stepdaughter Connie Arroyo, stepson Jeremy (Ryan) Mayse, step granddaughter Rebekah Scribner and her children Isabela, Azia, Kash and Leigha. He is also survived by his three sisters: Marilyn Foppiano (Pete), Gwen Dugger and Sherri Mangrum (Howard); and three brothers: Wayne Jones (Etta), Darren Jones (Pam), and Steve Jones. He will also be remembered by his dog Tito, who was always by his side.

Larry was proud to have served his country in the United States Navy from 1961-1964.

Following his service his dedicated over 30 years to a successful career with AT&T.

In his free time Larry was an avid bowler and loved to golf. He loved to travel and especially enjoyed the many cruises he shared with his wife with over the years. At home, he enjoyed sitting in his recliner watching his favorite team the Tennessee Vols or Titans.

In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his son Ricky Jones and brothers Gary and Bill Jones.

Larry will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, and a kindhearted man. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will be carried forward in the hearts of those who loved him.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, from 11:00 AM to the start of the service at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee.
