Obituary

Leonardo “Leo” Antonio Favela, Jr., passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. He was 27 years old.

Born on January 15, 1999, in Columbia, Tennessee, Leo was the beloved son of Susan Jett Barnett and the late Leonardo Favela.

Leo lived life with an adventurous spirit and never missed an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. Whether he was kayaking, exploring nature, or simply spending time with those he loved, he embraced every moment with enthusiasm. Outgoing, friendly, and full of life, Leo never met a stranger. His warm personality and genuine heart made it easy for others to feel welcome in his presence.

Music was one of Leo's greatest passions. He loved listening to music and expressing himself through it, creating rap music that reflected his creativity and individuality. He was never afraid to be himself, and his adventurous nature carried through every aspect of his life.

Above all else, Leo's greatest love was his daughter, Lilah. She was the center of his world, and the joy and pride he found in being her father was evident to everyone who knew him. The memories they shared and the love he had for her will remain a lasting part of his legacy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leonardo Favela; his paternal grandmother, Guadalupe Dell Pozo; and his maternal grandfather, Michael Jett.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Susan and Jason Barnett; his precious daughter, Lilah Favela; brothers, Aron (Hannah) Jett and Connor Barnett; sister, Angela (Franklyn) Abac; bonus father, Armando Araiza; the mother of his child, Ashley (Dylan) Hunt; his best friend, Josh Kelley; maternal grandparents, Faye and Papa Butch Moss; paternal grandfather Eduardo Favela; and several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends whose lives were touched by his kindness, laughter, and spontaneous spirit.

A Celebration of Life for Leo will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 12:00 PM until the start of the service.

Though his time on earth was far too brief, Leo's adventurous heart, infectious smile, love for music, and unwavering devotion to his daughter will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
