Martha McNeece

Martha McNeece, age 83, passed away peacefully at her home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee, on May 11, 2025. Born on June 27, 1941, in Maury County, Tennessee, Martha was the beloved daughter of the late Eldon Attkisson and Viola Waldrop Attkisson.

A lifelong member of Spencer Hill Church of Christ, Martha's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She loved church and worship, especially singing, and was affectionately known to many as “Bop.” Her joyful spirit, kind heart, and warm presence made her a cherished member of her community and family.

Martha found happiness in the simple things—especially in the time spent with her precious angels, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She often said those moments were the best of her life. Whether she was browsing her favorite thrift stores and yard sales or sharing a song at church, she did it with love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for life.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry McNeece; her children, Randy (Lisa) McNeece and Kristy (Larry) Brown; grandchildren, Wesley McNeece, Emily McNeece Cole, Dakota Brown, and Robby McNeece; great-grandchildren, Austyn McNeece, Brantley McNeece, Everly Cole, Annaleigh McNeece, and one more on the way, Lennon Jean McNeece.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Billy Wayne Attkisson and Sheila Attkisson May.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, great-grandson, Larry Brown, and Hayden Cole. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Spencer Hill Church of Christ.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. A celebration of Martha’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Williams Funeral Home, with Jeff Waldrop and Randy McNeece officiating. She will be laid to rest at Spencer Hill Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.

Martha’s legacy of love, faith, and joy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
